copper engraved device. Vol. II with a similar woodcut device. Numerous
woodcut head & tail pieces. Later vellum, soiled, hand lettered spine,
over speckled boards (rubbed). Minor worming of front inner margin.
Title of Vol. I, somewhat soiled & with 2 small burn holes; a paper
repair on verso of top inner margin and several cont. ownership

engraved Jesuit device on title. Cont. calf, quite rubbed, head of
spine chipped, spine label lacking. Title & first 3 leaves with old
paper repairs at blank fore-margin (no text loss), and an old stain at
