      Excellent documentary study of pirates and privateers in colonial 
America. Nearly all the documents reproduced herein had not previously been 
published. The goal of this collection is to illustrate as well as possible 
in a single volume the different aspects of privateering and piracy in this 
period, ending with the last colonial war in 1763, and to show examples of 
all the different sorts of papers to which they gave rise. Bound in maroon 
cloth over boards with spine titled in gilt, blind-stamped border rule on 
upper board. A touch of fading to spine, and a couple of expert paper 
repairs to page edges inside, else fine....... $275.00
