BROWNING, Robert. THE POEMS OF ROBERT BROWNING. Cambridge: Limited
Editions Club, 1969. Tall octavo (6-1/2" x 10-3/4") bound in blue
morocco-backed boards inlaid with a black embossed portrait. Selected
and with an introduction by C. Day Lewis. Designed by John Dreyfus and
printed at the University Printing House in Cambridge. Illustrated with
36 wood engravings by Peter Reddick and SIGNED by the artist on the
colophon page. Of a total of 1500 copies, this copy is not numbered but
in place of the number is written in ink "Office Copy." The colophon
also bears the presentation blindstamp that usually accompanies lettered
copies. Spine quite sunned and a little dry. Very Good in a Fine

Limited Editions Club, 1932. Folio (8" x 12-3/4") bound in full cloth
specially woven in rose and buff by Fortuny of Venice with a gold-
stamped linen spine label. Translated and annotated by Melville Best
Anderson with an introduction by Arthur Livingston. Designed, printed on
rag mould-made paper, and bound by Hans Mardersteig at the Officina
Bodoni in Verona, Italy. Copy #834 of 1500 SIGNED by the designer on the
colophon page. Handsome book, beautifully printed. Touch of sunning to

ochre linen boards with the front board embossed with an oval portrait
of Donne; 224 pages. Selected, annotated, and introduced by Frank
Kermode; designed by John Dreyfus. Illustrated with 33 wood engravings
by Imre Reiner. Copy #1087 of 1500 SIGNED by the illustrator on the
colophon page. Monthly Letter laid in. Mild sunning to the spine. About

HEANEY, Seamus. POEMS AND A MEMOIR. (New York): Limited Editions Club,
(1982). First Edition. Tall octavo (7-1/4" x 12") bound in full
vat-dyed, dark-brown leather consisting of a top-grain aniline skin. The
8 illustrations by Henry Pearson, adapted from prehistoric carvings
found just north of Dublin, are original graphics printed directly from
relief engravings. The selection includes eight early and previously
uncollected poems as well as a preface and memoir by Heaney. Copy #1168
of 2000 copies SIGNED by Heaney, Pearson, and Thomas Flanagan who wrote
the introduction. The nature of the leather of this binding leads to
some variation in color and texture. Typical sunning to the spine with
small rubbed spots at the head and heel. Rubbing also to the rear cover
with some ptting to the leather. Very Good in a Near Fine slipcase with

MASTERS, Edgar Lee. SPOON RIVER ANTHOLOGY. New York: Limited Editions
Club, 1942. Tall octavo (7" x 10-1/2") bound in full linen with a
gilt-lettered leather label. Printed by Joseph Blumenthal at the Spiral
Press. Copy #1202 of 1500 illustrated by Boardman Robinson and SIGNED by
both the author and the illustrator. The only signed limited edition of
this classic poem, first published in 1915 and here published with a new
twenty-two page introduction by Masters. Spine darkened and foxed,
spreading a little to each cover. Mild browning to gutters; owner name
in ink on front endpaper. Very Good in a Very Good slipcase.
