edition. Great Mississippi Flood of 1927 was the 
most destructive river flood in the history of 
the United States. OCLC shows only five printed 
copies. A near fine copy, lightly rubbed. OCLC

Forward Movement of Cyclones and Anti-cyclones in 
Europe and primarily in Russia, research by P. 
Brounov (with 15 maps). Original thesis of Peter 
Ivanovich Brounov (1852 -1927), Russian 
meteorologist and one of the founders of 
agrometeorology (agricultural meteorology). 
Scarce. OCLC shows no copies. In Russian. Leaves 
lightly browned else contents near fine and 
unopened (uncut) with sharp maps; wrappers are 
good, front creased, some soiling and tears at 
the edges, more so on the rear, overall a bit

3. Trigueros, Candido M. [Maria]. LA RIADA. 
DESCRIBESE LA TERRIBLE INUNDACION QUE MOLESTÒ A 
SEVILLA EN LOS ÙLTIMOS DIAS DEL AÑO 1783 I LOS 
PRIMEROS DE 1784. Sevilla: En la Officina de 
Vazquez y Comp., 1784. xxvi, 115 pp. 8vo. Early 
full red Spanish morocco, gilt rules, all edges 
gilt, marbled endpapers. First edition. Inscribed 
by the author to his fellow 18th c. Spanish poet, 
Tomas de Iriarte (1750-1791). A mythological, 
allegorical, and historical epic poem in six 
cantos on the flood of Seville. Candido Trigueros 
(1736-1798) was an important if formerly somewhat 
neglected Spanish philosophical poet and 
dramatist who was often in the forefront of the 
important 18th century literary movements. 
Provenance: Mary E. Maxwell (bookplate). Quite 
scarce inscribed. A very good copy, boards worn, 
owner's bookplate on front pastedown, hinges 
started but firm. Palau 340760. Ticknor 379.

billed. Trade allowance. Postage for Domestic 
orders is $5.00 for the first book and $2.50 for 
each additional volume. Books are normally 
shipped Media Mail. For international orders, 
postage is calculated individually. All books may 
be returned in original condition for any reason 
within two weeks with prior notification.
