With the FernieBield bookplate of John Phin, in the blank border of which is the added signature of the pioneer Afro-American collector, Arthur Schomburg. On the fly leaf is Schomburg's presentation inscription of the book to the noted Afro-American scholar/historian Carter Woodson, known as "the Father of Black History."
