Henry Stevens, the founder, although born and educated in New England, spent most of his career in Europe, from which vantage point he was able to supply collectors and libraries with the rarest early books relating to America.
The firm carried on this specialty well into the last century, issuing a marvelous stream of well described, annotated catalogs of Americana. We offer herewith approx. 43 of those lists, in the original wrappers, and, for the most part, in very good condition (a few are marked up by a former owner).
