Offered today a group of 21 items related to the Bacon - Shakespeare Debate.  During the second half of the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century, a debate raged as to whether or not William Shakespeare was the author of the plays and poems attributed to him.  Some of those who participated in the debate were men of leisure who would today be considered "amateurs;" and not a few of them had less than friendly things to say about the authorities in academic institutions.  The following list shows the author's last names, short titles of the books, the publisher and date of publication as well as a modestly-priced retail value.  A fuller listing of the books with complete descriptions is available upon request.  The list priced out comes to just over $ 400.  Will sell to the list as a group at $ 300.  Postage extra.  Thank you for your consideration.
