Earlyedition (1st Venice is 1546) of this work of canon law by thecontroversial Spanish theologian, Bartolome Carranza (1503-1576), who wasCharles V's envoy to the Council of Trent (1546) and later was sent to Englandto be Mary's confessor. The work is a collection of the church councils endingup with the Council of Trent. All early editions are rare. Adams C-766.
