(MINIATURE BOOKS) BIJOU ILLUSTRATIONS OF THE HOLY LAND. London: Rock & Co. No date (circa 1845-1850). 32mo. (1-1/8" tall). Engraved title (printed on the verso of the leaf), and 31 copper engraved plates, each with a line of engraved title. Orig. red morocco, gilt, front cover with a piece of added leather glued to it (a minor defect).  A.e.g. Very scarce.	$750.00 (trade discount allowed)
See Bondy, MINIATURE BOOKS pp. 152-153 where he discusses Rock's "Bijou" travel miniature series; he does not mention "The Holy Land", only the BIJOU ILLUSTRATIONS OF THE HOLY LAND that was published by J. Hamilton in Philadelphia, bound in gilt stamped cloth.  Rock also published miniatures on "London", "Paris", and "The United States".
