THE DEAD SEA SCROLLS. New York: Limited Editions Club, 1966. Small folio 
(7-7/8" x 12-1/8") bound in quarter rust levant morocco and heavy linen; 
252 pages. Illustrated with 16 watercolors, including 8 double-page, and 
numerous line drawings by Shraga Weil. Created and illustrated in 
Israel. The first edition translated by Geza Vermes. Of a total of 1500 
copies SIGNED by the artist on the colophon page, this copy is not 
numbered (in place of the number is written in ink "Office Copy") and 
bears the Club's blindstamp stating it is one of 25 presentation copies. 
Monthly Letter laid in.  Fine in a Near Fine slipcase with a little 
peeling. (#016288)        $200.00

THE LIVING TALMUD: THE WISDOM OF THE FATHERS. New York: Limited Editions 
Club, 1960. Small folio (9-1/4" x 12-1/4") bound in half natural-grain 
goatskin vellum and black cloth stamped in genuine gold, top edge gilt 
with pure gold leaf; 226 pages. Translated, edited, and with an 
introduction by Judah Goldin. Designed by Joseph Blumenthal and printed 
at the Spiral Press with the classical commentaries printed in both 
English in black ink and Hebrew in red ink. Illustrated with 12 
full-page sepia drawings by Ben-Zion. Of a total edition of 1500 copies 
SIGNED by the artist on the colophon page, this is one of only 25 
Presentation Copies with the publisher's blindstamp attesting to such on 
the colophon page where instead of a number the initials "H.M." are 
handwritten. Acquired directly from the publisher's files, and most 
likely the publisher Helen Macy's very own copy. Slight natural 
discoloration to the vellum. Fine in a close to Fine slipcase.
