Large octavo (6-1/4" x 9-3/8") bound in contemporary half brown morocco 
and marbled boards with morocco corners. Illustrated with 50 fine 
hand-colored aquatint plates depicting the costume of the Austrian 
Empire. Excellent series of plates illustrating the costumes and ranks 
of the Austro-Hungarian empire, including representatives of Upper 
Austria, Tyrolia, Hungary, Bohemia, Moravia, Sclavonia, Dalmatia, 
Transylvania, Bukowina, etc., as well as Transylvanian Saxons, Polish 
Jews, and Greek Priests. Colas 78; Lipperheide 832. Both text and plates 
quite clean and fresh; binding a little rubbed with joints tender and
