ROOSEVELT, Eleanor. INDIA AND THE AWAKENING EAST. New York: Harper & 
Brothers, (1953). First Edition. Illustrated with photographs. SIGNED by 
the former First Lady on the half title page. When this title is found 
signed it is usually on a blue bookplate affixed opposite the title 
page. Inscribed copies are much more uncommon. Copies simply SIGNED in 
the book itself without an inscription, such as this one, are seldom 
found. Fine in a clipped, near Very Good dustwrapper still retaining its 
price at the bottom front of the inside flap with a spine that is sunned 
and chipped about a half inch at the top. (#016220)        $850.00
