Boston: Small, Maynard & Co., (1910).  Gallup A6a.  First edition, first impression of his first American book.  Original tan boards printed in dark brown measuring 1.5 mm. across the covers, small chip at top of spine , otherwise very good. Only 200 copies printed.  Issued a year later in England as "Canzonieri."  (Caveat: Most copies offered for sale do not differentiate between the 2 impressions, either through ignorance of chicanery.)  $450  ($400 to the trade) ppd.

STEVENSON, Robert Louis.  VIRGINIBUS PUERISQUE AND OTHER PAPERS.  London: C. Kegan Paul & Co., 1881.  First edition, the rare first state, with advts dated 8/80.  Original orange bevelled cloth stamped in gold and black, with just a slight suggestion of rubbing - an unusually nice copy of a book often read to tatters. $390.00 ($350.00 to the trade) ppd.
