Published in London by Halton and Truscott Smith & in Boston by Charles E.
Lauriat Company in 1924.

Edition of 1,750 numbered copies.

DISCUSSION: An elegant and imposing study of 18th, 19th and 20th century
models of sailing ships, featuring illustrations and descriptions of
superb and historic museum-quality models. R. Morton Nance provides an
extensive introductory text on the art of the nautical model-maker, from
Admiralty and builder’s models to the work of the early 20th century
craftsman. The author, Robert Morton Nance [1873-1959] was a leading
authority on the Cornish language, an artist, a respected nautical
archaeologist, and a founder of the Society for Nautical Research.

DESCRIPTION: Hardcover. 10"x12.5", 81 pages, color frontispiece and 124
black & white plates.

CONDITION NOTES: The covers have a little minor wear (please see the
photos, above and below). The book itself has slightly toned endpapers,
but otherwise is clean and nice, with a tight binding.
