ANDERSON, Sherwood. WINESBURG, OHIO. New York: B. W. Huebsch, 1919.
First Edition. Anderson's third and best known book, this copy with all
first issue points: map on the front pastedown; title page frame
unbroken; "lay" for "lie" on page 86, line 5; and broken type on page
251, line 3; top edge stained yellow matching the cloth. SIGNED by the
author on the half-title page just below the title "Winesburg, Ohio."
Small leather bookplate on the upper left corner of the front pastedown
with slight offsetting to the front endpaper. The yellow cloth is
lightly soiled, more so to the spine which is sunned as well. The white
paper spine label is intact, though a little wrinkled and soiled.
Contents are tight and clean. Housed in a plain black cloth slipcase.
Lacks the rare dustwrapper. Very Good and scarce when signed.
