By Horace Raisson.
Published in Paris by Jules Lefebvre et Cie, Editeurs, in 1830. 2nd edition.

DISCUSSION: First published in 1829, also by Lefebvre. A guide to rules
and regulations of hunting in early 19th century France. The charming
engraved frontispiece depicts two hunters and their dog at the edge of a
marsh surprising what appears to be a snipe.

Horace Raisson [1798-1854] was a popular author, writing books on the
histories of the French Revolution, the Bonaparte family, the National
Guard of Paris, and Codes for gourmets and journalists.

DESCRIPTION: Softcover. 4”x6.5”, 262 pages, engraved frontispiece.

CONDITION NOTES: Original paper covers, now very fragile and somewhat
worn. Portions of the spine have perished. Minor internal soil, and a few
spots.  Although the binding is extremely delicate, it is nice to see this
book in its' original state.
