TITLE: "Le Poincon de Paris. Repertoire des Maitres-Orfevres de la
Juridiction de Paris depuis le Moyen-Age jusqu'a la Fin du XVIIIe siecle"

By Henri Nocq.

Published in Paris by Leonce Laget, Edituer: 1968.
Limited to 400 sets.

DISCUSSION: A limited edition re-issue of the 1926-1931 limited edition
set. Henri Nocq, a very respected authority on French silver who wrote
several other books on the subject, would find, were he alive today, that
no comparable study has displaced this one as an authoritative reference
to Parisian goldsmiths of the 18th century and their work. This is a small
niche of the scholarly world to be sure, but this set still stands firmly
astride it.

DESCRIPTION: Hardcovers. 5 volumes. 8.5"x11", 325 ; 370; 441; 291; 96
pages; with numerous black & white illustrations and plates; several color
plates.

CONDITION NOTES: A little very light wear, but overall a very nice, clean,
tight set.

PRICE: $2,500
