DATESMAN, JOAN.  COLLECTING QUIMPER. QUIMPER COLLECTIONS. Newtown, Pa., 1987.  Quarto, original cloth stamped in white, excellent copy  in pictorial d.w. (d.w. has several small tears.)  Colored illustrations throughout of this attractive pottery.  $10.00

ERNST MATTHES 1878-1918.  Privately printed, Hamburg, 1929. #51 of 70 copies only. Quarto in original designer  boards. Frontis-portrait (platinum print--small crease in tissue). 31 plates (13 in color). Presentation copy from Magdalene Blohm, with a two-page autograph letter signed from her presenting the book and saying "It was meant to keep the memory of my brother alive...It was never published... [&c.]" This gifted but ill-fated artist died in the World War in 1918. He spent the years 1901-11 in Paris. Insel Verlag published his "Scenes Parisiannes." RARE: OCLC locates only 2 copies: the Getty Museum & the Saxony State Library.  There was an exhibit of his work and a catalog at the Kunsthalle Bremen in 1972 and at Harvard in 1973.  $65.00

GERBER, William.  DIE BAUZUENFTE IM ALTEN HAMBURG.  Hamburg: Selbstverlag der Baugewerks-Innung, 1933.
Approximately 11-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches in white cloth with red lettering. Covers a little soiled and corners bumped. Includes many illustration plates and numerous text illustrations. Text is in German. Latter-day inscription with stamp on endpaper in German.  Architectural history of the Hamburg Building Guilds. $10.00
