CONRAD, Joseph. LORD JIM. New York: Limited Editions Club, 1959. Octavo 
(6-3/4" x 9") bound with a backstrip of blue imported India morocco 
leather stamped in gold and sides covered with a special paper figured 
with a pattern of bright medium-blue on a pale-blue background; 424 
pages. Designed by Carl Purington Rollins and printed at the Yale 
University Press with an introduction by Nicholas Monsarrat. Illustrated 
with 4 double-spread lithographs in six colors and 16 smaller 
lithographs by Lynd Ward. Of a total of 1500 copies SIGNED by the artist 
on the colophon page, this copy is not numbered (in place of the number 
is written in ink "Office Copy") and bears the Club's blindstamp stating 
it is one of 25 presentation copies. Some rubbing to the leather on the 
spine and bottom of boards with slight loss or fading of color. Still 
Near Fine in a lightly soiled, Very Good slipcase. (#016315)        $75.00
