Published in New York by Brentano’s in 1922.

DISCUSSION: The American edition of a set first published in Germany by
Scarabaeus in 1922, which features 120 postcard-size color plates of
antique 18th and 19th century oriental carpets. Included are Giordes,
Anatolian, Caucasian, Persian, Kurdish, Turkoman, Bokharan, Kirghis,
Kashgar, and other carpets. O’Bannon 476.

DESCRIPTION: 3 volumes. Hardcover. 5”x7.5”, 121 pages plus a black & white
frontispiece & the loose (and rarely seen) folding map, plus 2 portfolio
volumes containing 120 loose color plates.

CONDITION NOTES: Some cover wear, several flaps on the portfolio volumes
detached but present, text volume pages and color plates with a little
minor scattered soil, but overall clean and nice.
