Text in Latin with a few portions in Hebrew. Woodcut device on title. BOUND WITH: Manutius, Aldus. PURAE, ELEGANTES, ET COPIOSAE LATINAE LINGUAE PHRASES. Nunc Primum in Germania Editae. Leipzig: (Michael Lantzenberger). 1592. (24),210,(48)pp. With the 2 blanks. Index. Woodcut printer's device on title. Some minor dampstaining at blank fore-edge of final leaves. Both works bound together in cont. 1/2 roll tooled pigskin over vellum, worn, some old water staining, and small pieces cut from the pigskin at head of spine and top of front cover. Small wormhole at bottom fore-corner through both works, occasionally touching a catchword (no text loss).	$650.00 (trade discount allowed)
Two linguistic studies:
I.  Claius (1535-1592) was a Hebrew scholar who also compiled the first complete German grammar. VD 16 C4002.
II.  Manutius (1547-1597) A scarce edition; OCLC only records a few copies in Europe. VD 16 M805.
