A rare first edition of Melanchthon's emphatic refusal on behalf of the Protestant world to participate in Paul III's proposed Council of Mantua for the reconciliation of the two sides. Following this denunciation the idea was quickly abandoned. VD 16 M2658. Not in Adams.
