SHAW, George Bernard. AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED WITH INITIALS (ALS) on the 
bottom of a letter from a publisher. On the blank bottom portion of a 
typed letter from publisher Reynal & Hitchcock forwarding a copy of Eric 
Bentley's THE PLAYWRIGHT AS THINKER, Shaw has written a brief reply and 
SIGNED it with his initials. In full: "The book has arrived safely, 
thank you. I have opened it at random and tasted a page or two. I don't 
read books now: I'm too old; but Bentley is one of the brightly 
conspicuous, and I shall dip into him again. GBS 8/6/1946." Normal
