DISCUSSION: A fox-hunting classic. The Preface to the 2000 edition notes-
“First published by The Derrydale Press in 1932, The Silver Horn —widely
recognized as the best foxhunting fiction ever published— introduces
Grand's famous fictional character Colonel John Weatherford and his
foxhunting adventures. Whether it is the story of a broken down but proud
old Kentucky gentleman who trains an outsider to win a classic race or the
mysterious sound of the huntsman's silver horn heard in the deserted
streets of London at midnight, readers will be fascinated by these
fourteen superb foxhunting stories”.

DESCRIPTION: Hardcover. 6”x9.5”, 229 pages, 6 black & white plates.

CONDITION NOTES: The covers have some mi or soil and light scuffing, the
pages are slightly age-toned and there is a short inscription on the front
endpaper. Otherwise clean and nice, with a tight binding.
