First edition thus. Text in Latin. Three volumes (of five); 4to (25 x 20 cm) in late nineteenth-century burgundy cloth; 606, 606, 654 pp.; title-pages printed in red & black with engraved vignette, engraved frontispiece + 25 engraved plates (14 folding).

Volumes I, II, and III only of this five-volume collection, but each volume is complete in itself. With all 25 plates called for in the numbering (plates XVIII and XIX on one folding sheet), plus the frontispiece in vol. I. A collection of medical treatises and dissertations selected and edited by Albrecht von Haller (1708-1777), Swiss anatomist and physiologist, a student of Boerhaave and Albinus...
