Joseph Addison: Miscellaneous Works, in Verse and Prose, of the late Right Honourable Joseph Addison, Esq; In Three Volumes. Consisting of such as were never before Printed in Twelves. With some  Account of the Life and Writings of the Author. By Mr. Tickel. London: Printed for J. and R. Tonson and S. Draper in the Strand, 1753. ESTC T89176; Alston 19. [WITH:] Remarks on Several Parts of Italy, &c. In the Years 1701, 1702, 1703. London: Printed for J. and R. Tonson in the Strand, 1761. ESTC T89181.

Together, four volumes, 12mo (17.5 cm), uniformly bound in full period polished calf, spines with raised bands ruled in gilt, gilt-stamped spine labels reading "Addison's Poetical Works" (sic); with woodcut illustrations, decorations and initials.

...In all, a handsome set. From the library at Encombe House, Dorset, the seat of John Scott (1751-1838), 1st Earl of Eldon and Lord Chancellor of Great Britain; all four volumes with his signature ("Eldon") and armorial bookplate.
