Rare edition (1st is 1565) of five lectures on rhetoric and related subjects delivered in Rome, 1561 to 1564, by the Spanish Jesuit, Pedro Juan Perpina (Perpinian, 1530-1566), who taught eloquence in Lyon and Paris. The Brescia printer, Pietro Maria Marchetti, used a copy of the Aldine anchor and dolphin device as well as an italic type face and printing setup to closely imitate the great Venetian printing house.
