TITLE: “Antiente Epitaphs (from A.D. 1250 to A.D. 1800) Collected & sett
forth in Chronological order”

Published in London by Joseph Masters & Co. in 1878.

DISCUSSION: A collection of English epitaphs from ancient tablets,
brasses, and headstones, which it took 25 years to assemble. The author
has arranged them chronologically, to show the changes of style between
ages, a very interesting idea.

DESCRIPTION: Hardcover. 5.5"x8.75", 196 pages, folding lithographed
frontispiece. Bound in the publisher's handsome blue & black decorated
cloth with gilt titles.

CONDITION NOTES: Minor wear, a little light soil, hinges just a bit
tender, but otherwise clean and nice.
