TITLE: “A Dissertation on the Antiquity of Glass in Windows. In a Letter
to the Rev. Tho. Birch, D.D.Secret. R.S.”

By the Rev. John Nixon.
Printed in London in 1758; a section removed from a larger volume, that
being The Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London.

DISCUSSION: A pane of opaque glass excavated at Herculaneum causes the
author to ponder the antiquity of glass windows. A transcription of an
18th century letter which appeared in the Philosophical Transactions of
the Royal Society of London, in 1758.

DESCRIPTION: Bound into new cloth. 6.5”x9”, 10 pages.

CONDITION NOTES: Covers new. Pages with some light browning and a few
marks. Nice wide margins.
