First edition in English. 8vo. 104,(2)pp. With the dedication leaf before the title. Fine copy in original polished purple calf, gilt stamped. Small bookplate on front pastedown. First printed in Spanish (in Monterey) in 1835; it is the second California printed book, and the first one of importance. Figueroa, Governor and Commandante of Sonora and Sinaloa, and after 1833 the political head of Alta California, records and defends his administration 1833-1835. The 1835 original is extremely rare.
