TITLE: “Antiquamania”

By Kenneth L. Roberts.
Published in Garden City by Doubleday, Doran & Company in 1928. First
edition.

DISCUSSION: "The Collected Papers of Professor Milton Kilgallen, F.R.S. of
Ugsworth College, Elucidating the Difficulties in the Path of the Antique
Dealer and Collector, and presenting various methods of meeting and
overcoming them". A fun little farce on antiques and collectors,
originally published in a smaller form in 1923 as "The Collector's
Whatnot", authored by "Cornelius Obenchain Van Loot, Milton Kilgallen and
Murgatroyd Elphinstone", but actually written by Kenneth Roberts and Booth
Tarkington.

DESCRIPTION: Hardcover. 5"x7.5", 260 pages, black & white illustrations.

CONDITION NOTES: Some cover soil along the edges, tips worn, spine with
slight corrosion hole, but a better copy than is usually found of this
poorly-made book that is usually beat to heck; with most of the uncommon
dust jacket- jacket separated along the front fold, large corner of front
panel lost, along with the top 1/3 of the spine panel, and some other
heavy chipping and loss at the base of the jacket. Still, most of the
jacket is better than none...

PRICE: $85 -
