Scarce English edition of the Medical School of Salerno's "Regimen Santitatis" the great medieval guide to health and proper living. This edition has the added essay on eating fish for our health, leading off with a discussion of the importance of salmon in our diet. A large part of the text relates to food and wine (see Simon's VINARIA, 188 and GASRONOMICA 121). The text is attributed to Joannes de Mediolano. The English translation is by Philemon Holland. STC 21604. See Garrison & Morton #49-51.
