(16),192pp. plus an added engraved title with a portrait, engraved text beginning "L'Idea Della Architectura Universale"; a half-page engraving marked "a1" with German text by Jochem Schuym, and 85 numbered plates, four of which are folding (#s 11, 57, 71, and 82). In effect, 87 plates, complete. A few plates are bound out of order. Cont. plain polished calf, spine with raised bands, without a spine label.	$3,500.00 (trade discount allowed)
An uncommon German translation of Scamozzi's IDEA DELLA ARCHITETTURA UNIVERSALE (the first edition of 1615). It is a reprint of the German 1678 edition, using the 1678 engraved added title. Scamozzi's text was very influential in the 17th century, with dozens of editions and translations including 6 in English ("The Mirrour of Architecture") before 1700. See Fowler 298.
