York: Harper & Brothers, (1960). Revised Edition. This edition includes
a foreign policy speech by Kennedy delivered on the floor of the Senate
in 1960 after the book was first published. SIGNED and INSCRIBED by the
author on the front endpaper: "For H. E. Lord Alport--/with best
wishes--/John F. Kennedy." Laid in is a letter from Alport's son
describing how Kennedy presented the book to his father in London in
1962 and why Kennedy used "H. E." (His Excellency) as his father was an
ambassador at the time to Rhodesia. Slight feathering to the ink of
Kennedy's inscription. Near Fine in a Very Good dustwrapper with
creasing and wear at the top edge of the front panel. (#017261)
