bound at rear. Contemporary owner signatures on title page which lacks
the upper corner losing the "ate" in "Estimate" written in on paper

1000 copies printed by Carroll Coleman at the Prairie Press. Master of

(1921). First Edition. Fifth state of the text (no priority given for
states 3-5) in the scarce dustwrapper, this with the third state of
reviews. INSCRIBED and SIGNED, but not in Dos Passos's hand, on the
front endpaper: "To M.C. Baldwin/with the compliments/of the author/and
his friend/David Margolis/July 27, 1922." Old dampspotting to front and
rear covers of book; dustwrapper in very nice shape with a little wear
to the head of the spine which has an internal tape repair. Near Very
