10" black-and-white portrait of the author of FROM HERE TO ETERNITY and 
THE THIN RED LINE in a suit and tie standing before a part of his book 
collection and holding an open book. INSCRIBED (possibly in another 
hand) and SIGNED by the author at the top of the photograph. Accompanied 
by a TYPED LETTER SIGNED forwarding the photograph. The signature on the 
photograph is a bit light but still clear; minor edgewear. About Fine.
