The Science of Phrenology Consistent with the Doctrine of Christianity; A Letter Addressed to Dr. Spurzheim, by John C. Tomlinson.  Esq. M.A. London: [s.n.], 1826. Softcover 8vo in recent wraps with printed label; 10 pp. (p. [415]-425). Extracted from The Pamphleteer but the title-page states "Original", so presumably this is the first (and only?) printing.

Light browning to the fore-edge of one leaf, else clean and sound, securely bound. The author addresses this treatise to Johann Gaspar Spurzheim (1776-1832), coiner of the term "phrenology" and the man most responsible for popularizing the pseudo-science by traveling and lecturing extensively throughout Europe, scoring particular successes in France and England. He died in Boston of typhoid while on his first lecture tour of the United States.
