O'NEILL, Eugene. THIRST. Boston: Gorham Press, (1914). First Edition.
First book by this multiple Pulitzer Prize winner, perhaps the greatest
playwright of the American theater. Atkinson AI-1-I: 1000 copies
printed. This copy in the very scarce original white printed dustwrapper
which has only minor soiling, a one-inch jagged closed tear to the top
of the front panel and two rather small repaired chips to the spine tips
not affecting any lettering. The book itself is Very Good, the only
defect being some adhesive remnant on the front pastedown from the
removal of a bookplate. Housed in a recently repaired 1/2 morocco
clamshell box. Very Good in a Very Good dustwrapper and clamshell box.
(#003590) $1,000.00
