Octavo, original grey cloth titled in black on spine and front panel. 303 pp. Of several noted variants, this is the issue with no publisher's catalogue inserted at the rear. Lacking the front free endpaper, and with a W.H. Smith & Sons Subscription Library label on the inner front cover; lower corners a trifle bruised, spine very slightly canted, a few small marks to the cloth. Overall, a very good copy, quite attractive. 

¶ The classic Interplantary invasion novel.
