WILLIAMS, William Carlos. TYPED LETTER SIGNED (TLS). Rutherford, NJ, 3 
October 1953. Brief Typed Letter on personal stationery SIGNED as "Bill" 
to Oscar (perhaps Oscar Williams). In full: "You may tell Wykes-Joyce 
for me that I would be proud to have him quote me as he pleases. If 
feasable I'd like very much to see the periodical in which his article 
appears. Sorry to say I had a stroke last august from which I am slowly 
recovering. Next Thursday I am appearing over C.B.S. at 9:30, Author 
Meets Critic if you care to see me." Fine content for such a short 
letter. Small stain below signature. The letter has been mounted to 
stiffer paper by several spots of glue along the edges. It can likely be 
removed without any damage to the front, but we have not attempted to do
