ROOSEVELT, Theodore (Teddy ROOSEVELT). AMERICAN IDEALS AND OTHER ESSAYS 
SOCIAL AND POLITICAL. New York & London: G. P. Putnam's & Sons, 1901. 
Olive-gray cloth lettered in black. Biographical sketch by General 
Francis Vinton Greene. Originally published in 1897, this is an early 
copy printed in 1901. SIGNED by the author as President on the front 
free endpaper: "with regards of/Theodore Roosevelt/Xmas 1902." Extensive 
pencil inscription on the front pastedown which can be easily erased. 
Rear hinge with paper splits; tight and clean. Small rubbed spot on the
