The "Antelope," a packet under the command of Capt. Henry Wilson, was wrecked on one of the Pelew (i.e. Palau) Islands. The entire crew survived, was well treated by the natives, built a new boat from the wreckage, and sailed it to Macao. This book went through numerous later printings and became one of the most popular of all shipwreck narratives.
