1825. First Edition. Second, and best, Edition of the MEMOIRS and First 
Edition of MISCELLANEOUS WORKS. Three large (9" x 12") quarto volumes 
bound in full polished calf leather with gilt-ruled borders and heavily 
gilt-decorated spines with dates stamped at bottom and brown and black 
morocco labels. Illustrated with plates, facsimiles, and folding tables. 
Sporadic foxing and dampstaining, most heavy at the title pages and 
facing illustrations with most of the plates stained in the upper 
margins. Minor rubbing to spine edges. Generally a clean and pleasing
