DOCTOROW, E.L. BIG AS LIFE. New York: Simon & Schuster, (1966). First
Edition. His second book, in our experience more difficult to find than
his first. Doctorow "makes serious use of a classic convention of our
popular culture-- the great city visited by some monstrous, biologically
unprecedented menace." The dustwrapper is lightly soiled with a few
internal tape reinforcements and a quarter- sized triangular chip in the
upper right corner with a resulting slight darkening of the cloth in
that spot. All told, a very collectable copy of this rather scarce book.
Near Fine in a Good dustwrapper. (#006716) $150.00
