x, 45, xi-xxii; mimeographed on rectos only; errata leaf laid in. Contains
two pages of notes by the collector, a four-page foreword by Herzog, words
and music to 27 songs, notes on the songs, and a melodic index.  Archival
reinforcement to lower spine, edges of wraps lightly chipped, internally
clean and sound. 11.25" x 9"  Good . Original Wraps.
The 27 songs "collected from white people of Mississippi" include: The
Hangman's Song; The Brown Girl; The Young Oysterman; Black Jack David; Hog
Drovers; Had A Big Fight In Mexico; Texas; Old, Blind, Drunk John; and 19
more. This was folk-music scholar Joe Hickerson's copy, with his name in
the upper corner of the cover.  $90.00
