Period paneled calf, rebacked; 8vo (20 cm); [12], 84 pp.; [18], 115, [1] pp.; [4], vi, v, [1], 149, [3] p.; engraved plates (most folding) and woodcut illustrations, decorations and initials. Three separate works bound in one volume: the fifth edition of the first work, second edition of the second work, and first edition of the third work. With six engraved plates, four of which are folding (including the celestial chart related to finding the meridian, sometimes lacking), as well as a number of in-text woodcut illustrations (complete). Bumping and wear to the corners; some browning to the text and plates, most noticeable on the first few leaves and the page edges; one folding plate with chipping and two closed-tears to the fore-edge; a few occasional small spots; otherwise quite clean, firmly bound. Early/original owner's signature of George Tollet on the front paste-down and the verso of the title-page. A sound, handsome copy of an essential volume for any library of works related to gardening and/or pomology.
