Very scarce original 1878 edition of the novel SEOLA, the work of Mrs. J. G. Smith (Ann Eliza Brainerd), published anonymously. 

The curious novel is presented as the journal of Seola, wife of Noah's son Japhet, who gives her account of events leading up to the Great Flood. 
Populated with biblical characters, fallen angels, and other strange beings, the story was said by the author to be a fantasy --but there are those
who believe the story is supported by real and ancient texts.
