Robinson, William C. HANDWRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS FOR EXECUTING THE INSTRUMENT
OF RESTITUTION FOR THE SHIP "NEWPORT," WM. C. ROBINSON, MASTER. Original
manuscript. 1-1/4pp, written in sepia ink on laid paper with a watermark of
1794. Text in part: "...The Restitution is directed to the Commander of His
Majesty's Ship of War called the Sheerness and to all others in whose
Custody or Possession the said Ship the Newport Wm. C. Robinson Mr. her
Tackle Apparel and Furniture or any part thereof remain. The Agent of the
Claimant hath therefore to shew the said Original Restitution under the
Seal of the Court to the Person in Possession of his Ship .... an Affidavit
of the Facts must be made before any one of the Commissioners Appointed by
the High Court of Admiralty at Plymouth...." 12" x 7.5"  Very Good.
