Editions Club, (1949). Six large octavo volumes (6-1/2" x 10-1/2") bound 
in half blue buckram stamped with genuine aluminum leaf and decorated 
paper boards. This marks the first publication of all 168 stories by 
Andersen, not simply his better known fairy tales, all translated by 
Jean Hersholt. Copy #39 of 1500 illustrated by Fritz Kredel with each of 
Kredel's 230 drawings colored by hand through stencils. SIGNED by both 
the translator and the illustrator on the colophon page. Monthly Letter 
laid in. Bookplate on each front pastedown. Fine set in a Near Fine
