Harrington, Eri. HANDWRITTEN ACCOUNT BOOK, KEPT BY A FARMER RENTING OUT
PASTURE LAND AT ADAMS, MASSACHUSETTS, 1868-1869. Original manuscript. 18pp
of entries, ink and pencil, rest of book is blank. Begins with Harrington's
charges for pasturing horses of various ages: yearlings & colts, a head, 28
cts; to[sic] years old colts, 35 cts; 3 years old colts, 40 cents; cows...;
bulls; &c. The accounts describe the animals pastured, prices charged, and
the names of their owners, including: William Oens[sic], Joel Dewy, Abner,
Mr. Converse, H.S. Thompson, Andrew Heath, John Norton, James Hammond,
William G. Babcock, Highrom Loveland, Eli Brownell, Darius Oatman, D.
Trobridge, and many others. The records show when animals were put to
pasture and when taken out. Bound in plain card wrappers with Eri
Harrington's signture on cover. 5.75" x 4.75" Very Good.   $60.00
